Creating an e-Portfolios
Students are given an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned throughout the school year in their own e-Portfolios. Students will be asked to select samples of their academic
work, formative assessments, summative assessments, as well as other memorable
learning experiences, and make connections on their learning growth in their current grade as it relates to the Common Core
Standards.
This e-Portfolio meets writing standards, because the students are asked their opinion on each artifact that is uploaded into their e-Portfolio. Students write a response and give their opinion on the questions being asked. They must support their point of view with reasons and information. Student artifacts can be drawings, photos, videos, audio, writing, art, or whatever they feel is important to represent their learning growth.
This is the first year I am having my students do e-Portfolios. The students are enjoying posting their work and reflecting on why things were important, too.
Here is the template I used:

This is an example of a template for students to use to create their own
e-Portfolios. Students may use PowerPoint and
when done, upload finished e-Portfolios into Google Docs or they may also
create their e-Portfolios in Presentation within the Google Docs application.
